Ditching traditional new years resolutions: building lasting change through small, joyful rituals

Instead of another “new year, new me” approach, i framed this article around my own shift from rigid & overwhelming goal-setting to small, joyful habits that create lasting change.

By incorporating research on behavioural psychology and habit formation, I demonstrated why traditional resolutions can often fail.

There was space for brand alignment i.e. opportunity to incorporate wellness brands – for example, fitness apps, guided journals, nutrition services – into this more sustainable alternative but this was not possible due to the format limitations.
